Well I guess there comes a time when I should write some semblance of a 'real' post about my goings on, not just pictures, huh?

But sitting down to, what, recount all my tales so far? That seems daunting…long and probably boring. So, inspired by having listened to Mindy Kaling read her audiobook, 'Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns)' on my drive the other day, I'll be making a list.

Eight Things that Have Happened to Taylor so Far, That I Guess She Thinks are Significant?
1. Listening to Mindy Kaling read her audiobook, 'Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns)' on my six hour drive from Richmond to Mills River on Thursday. She is funny and poignant and endlessly entertaining. And relatable. I highly recommend this read, to anyone.
2. Hanging out with Aunt Cheryl. Who I have not seen in some amount of years. Enough said.
3. Seeing otters at Maymont in Richmond. I saw otters. OTTERS.
4. The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts; a specific piece that I saw that I now cannot remember the name of or the artist, but I know how it impacted me.
5. Driving. In general, I love it. I do not think I'll get sick of it. My butt might, sure, but my brain couldn't possibly.
6. Redaction of the word 'should'. Recently, I had someone say to me that it should never be 'should' but only 'must'. More recently, someone said to me that you 'shouldn't 'should' anything'. Either you want to do something and you do it or you don't. I will no longer use the word 'should'. This kind of goes along with my decision to no longer use the word 'tired'. I enacted that a few weeks ago. I'm either sleepy or exhausted. Tired is so boring.
7. Delicious food. From tofu salad to home roasted veggies, I love some beautiful vegan food.
8. E-mails and Snapchats from my loved ones. Brighten my day, give me perspective, make me cry, they're all good.

Okay basically publishing this post without reading it. If I toil over these I'll never do them.

Happy January 25th, day 6 of ? !
Taylor
