Here are some gems from Albuquerque itself!
Know where I am?
Do you?
DO YOU.
DO YOUUU?!
DO YOU?!?!
This was the absolute best way to spend my day. It was thrilling, following my GPS and slowly creeping through these streets, then turning a corner and being face to face with these monuments of history! That's right, I called the locales of Breaking Bad monuments of history. They are nothing less.
In Albuquerque I also went to the old town and saw some old buildings and went to the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, and I went to an improv show in the evening that was quite good! They played some games I'd never seen before, and I plant to steal them.
Finally, I got to cook dinner with my Couchsurfing host, Havah. Havah is a woman who has been cooking since she was very young and she is a natural in the kitchen. She is extremely well versed in Indian cuisine, and we made bhindi, aloo gobi, and homemade roti. It was absolutely wonderful getting to watch her work, and having her teach me about the history of the cuisine and how to make it. I tried my hand at making the last few rotis, and she said she'd never seen anyone take to it so quickly! I was quite proud of myself. I love cooking and have missed it so much, it was great to get to share and evening like this with her!
Me with my roti!
ABQ, you were super.
